You are important

image

The artist is not a special kind of person; rather, each person is a special kind of artist.

~ Ananda Coomaraswamy

In some art magazine, I read the following and thought you should know that it applies to you, too:

I hope you all know how important you are. Your uniqueness as artists – in your style, techniques and subjects – as well as your individuality as a person, is wholly valuable. It’s a beautiful thing that you choose to share yourself and your art with the world, and the world needs your art. Thank you. ~ Jasmine Huang

It doesn’t matter if you’re doodling in the margins of your notes, stitching together bits of fabric, slinging paint onto a canvas. It doesn’t matter whether your work goes straight to a pile and is never seen again or is sold for millions. You’re important. Your creativity is important. Thank you for making. The world needs your art!
